폴란드 출신으로 구소련에서 활동하며 쇼스타코비치, 프로코피에프와 함께 소비에트의 3대 작곡가의 한사람으로까지 평가 받았던 미에치스와프 바인베르크의 체임버 심포니와 피아노 오중주를 만나게 된다.
기돈 크레머와 크레메라타 발티카는 이미 바이올린 소나타와 교향곡 10번을 담은 음반으로 그라모폰 에디터스 초이스에 선정되는 등 바인베르크의 재발견에 공을 들이고 있다. 특히 체임버 심포니는 쇼스타코비치의 영향이 드리워지면서도, 서정적 선율미가 더욱 아름답게 펼쳐지고 있으며, 무엇보다도 피아노, 타악기 현악오케스트라를 위한 작품으로 편곡해 원작의 감동을 더욱 강렬하고 풍성하게 증폭시킨 피아노 오중주에 압도된다.
