레오나드 엘센브로이흐가 작곡가 알프레드 슈니트케 서거 10주년을 기념하는 추모 음반을 들려준다.
이 음반에 수록된 작품들은 네오-바로크 형식부터 무조음악까지 다양하지만 모두 ‘노스텔지어’라는 주제를 공유하고 있으며, 어느 곡이나 그 통렬한 감정이 사무친다. 슈니트케의 실내악 음악을 이해하고자 하는 이들에게 대단히 훌륭한 안내자 역할을 할 만한 음반이며, 음반 마지막에는 엘센브로이흐 자신이 직접 작곡한 추모곡이 담겨 있어서 더욱 인상적이다.
첼로의 뛰어난 기교와 지극히 섬세하면서도 다채로운 음색, 피아노의 명민한 앙상블도 빛을 발하고 있다.
