바로크 시대, 화려한 음악의 꽃을 피웠던 드레스덴 궁정의 음악감독, 하이니헨의 이탈리아 칸타타와 협주곡을 담은 소중한 음반! 하이니헨은 일찍 세상을 떠난 까닭에 오랫동안 묻혀 있다 1980년대 이후 적극적으로 재발견되었는데, 이 음반은 아직도 알려지지 않은 작곡가의 또 다른 면모를 보여준다.
독창 혹은 이중창을 위한 칸타타는 이탈리아 세속 칸타타의 정수를 담고 있으며, 협주곡 역시 이탈리아 모델을 바탕으로 다양한 악기가 화려하게 움직이는 드레스덴 궁정악단의 놀라운 명인기와 매력을 잘 살린 작품들이다.
활력과 생기가 가득한 연주 역시 훌륭하다.

“Terry Wey is secure throughout his range, with some stylish ornamentation … The instrument contribution is delightful. Batzdorfer Hofkapelle...play very nicely, and the two soloists...have style in buckets; two “Vivaldian” three-movement concertos by the Dresden-based composer are perfect vehicles for their talents...This is an enjoyable recital of music that definitely deserves to be better known.”
