  • Herbert von Karajan conducts the Berlin Philharmonic for this XRCD24 recording of compositional works by composers such as Pachelbel, Brahms, Massenet, Beethoven, Mozart and more!
  • The reputable Herbert von Karajan opens this recording with one of the most popular works from Baroque music, Pachelbel's Canon in D. He doesn't stop there, however, including another Baroque favorite, Air by J.S. Bach. The Berlin Philharmonic's string section sounds outstanding with their performance of Aase's Death from Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite. This collection rounds out with the closing track "Valse triste", a beautiful waltz by Jean Sibelius.
