스토리빌, 빌 스트릿, 갬블링 하우스, 바렐하우스는 특히 피아노 블루스맨들에게는 모두 '홈'으로 불리던 곳이었다. 이곳에서 아프리칸-아메리칸 피아노 블루스맨들은 그들이 겪어야했던 차별, 가난, 희망을 연주하였고 수많은 흑인들은 그곳에서 고단한 삶의 위안을 받았다. Memphis Slim, Willie Dixon, Little Brother Montgomery, Champion Jack Dupree등 특유의 쉰 목소리의 부기 우기는 블루스 레전드의 농도 짙은 원숙미를 발산하고 있다.
