헨델의 오페라 아리아를 ‘상드린 피우’만큼 잘 소화하는 소프라노 가수도 드물 것이다.
나이브(naive)에서 벌써 세 번째로 헨델의 오페라를 선택한 피우는 본 앨범으로 자신의 팬들뿐 아니라 헨델 음악의 팬들에게도 확실한 갈증 해소를 해주었으리라 생각한다.
2005년에는 그 해의 헨델 음반 상을 받기도 한 그녀는 현재 프랑스 소프라노 계를 이끌어가고 있는 주역이라 할 수 있다.
차분하면서도 한칸한칸 쌓여지는 느낌의 피오의 목소리는 듣는 이를 평온하게 만들며, 특히 작품 안에서 강약의 조절이 무척 탁월하면서도 자연스러워 1시간이 넘는 앨범 시간동안 전혀 지루함을 느낄 수 없게 만든다.
