    Teresa Perez, cello
    All Star Percussion Ensemble
    John Whitney Jazz Trio
    Harold Farberman, conductor

A star-studded album, extremely beautiful cello and orchestral rare gem. This is the new and upgraded version of "Crossover Cello", possibly the best album in the Golden String catalog.

Arranged by Maestro Harold Farberman, and under his baton, these pieces were played by Teresa Perez with wonderful ingenuity and improvisation; in addition, she was supported by two brilliant groups: the All Star Percussion Ensemble and the John Whitney Trio. The music was arranged by Maestro Farberman to blend together classical masterpieces with luscious jazz accompaniment, creating a pleasing crossover of two musical genres. Under his baton, the trio produced sweet and delightful music certainly deserving of the title, ¡°Sweet Sounds.¡±

Harold Farberman (b. November 2, 1929) is an American conductor, composer, and percussionist. He studied percussion at Juilliard and composition at the New England Conservatory and at Tanglewood with Aaron Copland. In 1951, he joined the Boston Symphony Orchestra as the youngest player ever to become a full-time member of the orchestra.
