네덜란드 페스티벌을 통해 전세계적 명성을 얻게 된 네덜란드 20세기 작곡가의 면면을 살펴볼 수 있는 음반이다. 루돌프 에셔의 목관오중주를 시작으로, 프란스 브뤼헨과 레인버트 드 레우가 연주하는 안드리에센의 작품 등 대중성과 학구적 작품성 사이를 묘하게 오가는 독창적 감각이 돋보인다. 무엇보다 5명의 작곡가가 함께한 <재건>은 모차르트 <돈 지오반니>를 바탕으로 체 게바라의 죽음을 그린 작은 오페라로, 친숙한 선율과 상징성 가득한 장면들이 이어지는 너무도 귀중한 작품이다.
